Dr. Donald Liebell

For the past three years I have gladly driven the hour it takes me to get to his office and even look forward to it!
Would I recommend
"When I cancelled plans to commit suicide [due to TN pain] in 1997, I had no idea we would eventually help thousands of people around the world get their normal lives back, too.

"After years of an embittered battle with “the Beast”, I decided to relinquish the war I’d fought for over a decade, and take my own life. After a 12-year mêlée with the agony of Trigeminal Neuralgia, Such unbearable pain robbed me of hope, and all desire to live.
One night my wife Rhonda heard a radio broadcast by a motivated woman who shared her remarkable, emotion-packed story of a relatively unknown scientific procedure which reduced her crippling misery with Fibromyalgia, eventually restoring her to a pre-agony state of being. This turned out to be the very procedure that ultimately ended my pain and eventually brought back my life. My wife scheduled a meeting with an upper cervical doctor (doctor specializing in the upper neck) close to our home.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Survivor
Author, "What Time Tuesday"

"I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. It began in
August 2006, about eight months after a routine dental visit… I had to quit
working because of the constant pain… By
this time, I was depressed, I was only 24 years old, but living day and night
with pain this intense was unbearable. And living the rest of my life taking
handfuls of pain pills just to take the edge off of the pain was really no life
at all… After a thorough upper cervical [neck] exam, the doctor showed me that
I had a severe atlas misalignment that was causing my facial pain. After the
first treatment, I began to feel a cooling sensation on the right side of my
face, and an immediate decrease in the pain level. This began to give me
something that I had lost hope… After
about a month of treatment, the pain was not returning with anywhere near the
intensity or frequency that it originally had. I felt an 80% improvement in my
pain! I am still under care, but when I am in adjustment, I am pain free, and I
don t need to be adjusted as often. I no longer need to take pain medicine."
Angela Griffith, TN Patient,
TNA, the Facial Pain Association
Doctors diagnose it as Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). Some call it Tic douloureaux … and victims of it often, sadly refer to it as the “Suicide Disease.” If you are one of thousands of people burdened by this extremely severe nerve condition, which results in stabbing or electric pain in the face, mouth, and head—you need no reminder how little is known about it…and how little help is available.
The purpose of this article is to inform you about methods that are indeed liberating TN sufferers from the “prison” of pain. These are all non-surgical and drugless approaches!
Perhaps you have failed to get any significant or lasting
results from various pain medications, as an attempt to chemically mask the gruesome
pain, which can be triggered by the slightest touch, chewing, laughing,
brushing teeth, etc. Ma
ny of these
prescription drugs are actually meant to treat seizures or depression.
If you are like some victims of Trigeminal Neuralgia, you have also tried one or more of the radiation or surgical procedures that have been recently offered, but with little or no success.
The pain of trigeminal neuralgia is caused by interference to the trigeminal nerve. It is the fifth cranial nerve, which transmits pain and other sensations from the brain to your face, including the surface of your eye. The nerve is also involved with your chewing muscles, as well as sensations of pressure and temperature.
In many cases, all of the diagnostic tests, including MRI, CT scans, and various neurological technologies, do not even reveal any physical evidence to explain the pain. Tests merely rule out the presence of suspected causes, such as tumor or other growths.
Although there are various hypotheses on the causes of Trigeminal Neuralgia kicking around medical circles, there is no agreement.
The bottom line is that trigeminal neuralgia is essentially a name that is given to a set of symptoms. Of course, giving your debilitating pain a fancy Latin name, changes nothing for you. Your choices seem to be drugs and surgery.
Realistic Hope for Relief Without Drugs or Surgery
In my practice, I have had considerable success helping people with Trigeminal Neuralgia. Each patient has different treatment requirement, but I will address the methods by which I have commonly achieved some stunning results.
Non-invasive Upper Neck Corrective Procedures
Interferen
ce to blood vessels and/or nerves at the base of
the skull has been implicated as a cause of TN.
Unfortunately for sufferers of trigeminal neuralgia, the mainstream
medical community has focused their efforts on pharmaceutical and surgical
approaches to treat it. This is a pity,
since many patients have been helped tremendously by a drugless and
non-surgical procedure called Atlas Orthogonal.
This sophisticated treatment is endorsed in the book, “Striking Back -the
Trigeminal Neuralgia Handbook” published by the Trigeminal Neuralgia
Association in the year 2000.
I am sad to say that few doctors even know about Atlas Orthogonal, so it’s unlikely you’ve been told to investigate it. An entire article (with videos) is dedicated to this procedure, which could very likely play a major role in bringing you lasting relief.
Auricular Medicine: Specialized Ear Acupuncture and
Bio-Energetic Testing

Acupuncture has been successful for many sufferers of TN. There are substantial numbers of successes
reported in the Chinese medical literature, but not much in English. Success of course, depends on the patient,
the methods being used, as well as the skill of the practitioner. Auricular medicine is a sub-specialty of
acupuncture, which was developed initially in France, by famed neurologist,
Paul Nogier, MD. This is the method I use
in my practice with great success, for people with supposedly “incurable”
chronic pain—including trigeminal neuralgia.
An entire series of articles is devoted to this subject.
Low Level Light Therapy, also known as Cold Laser Therapy has been an incredible resource for many of my trigeminal neuralgia patients. This safe, completely painless, and non-invasive treatment technology works on the cellular level. A comprehensive article is devoted to Cold Laser Therapy on this website.
Homeopathic medicine has been an important part of the success of many of my patients. Homeopathic supplements are patient-specific treatments that involve electromagnetic frequencies rather than chemicals. This is also explained in detail in a separate article on this website.
Obviously, I cannot promise or guarantee you that I can help you with your Trigeminal Neuralgia. However, I have helped most of the patients who have come to me with this horrible condition. Perhaps you will have the chance to finally get the relief you deserve.
